BIOGAS

Biogas or Renewable Energy provides the opportunity to convert organic waste into both electricity and heat on site. The treatment of biological waste from agriculture and food processing industries is an economic solution to reduce greenhouse emissions.

By covering a pond or tank with a membrane, the biogas can be captured and destroyed by flaring or utilised for heating and power generation. Covering a pond and either destroying or capturing the biogas can reduce on farm emissions by up to 80 per cent.
